Knight's Call
You see me standing here,
Thinking I'm not worth your time.
You look at me, and see me as a child,
Immature in my ways,
A small fry, the most emotionally weak,
Unqualified, a chump, the one who'd never make it.
You see my dreams as weak,
Pointless, childish fantasies--
No meaning to them,
But I dream big, more than you know;
I dare to stand, fight, and move.
You think I can't make it,
That you're better than me.
"He's nothing but a whimp,
"He'll fail with a slip."
But here I am--
I'm standing here,
Ready to dare, ready to go.
I'll take my challenges head on.
Go ahead and laugh;
I don't care.
I may slip, I may fall,
But I'll get up again;
